Children With Working Parents

One issue that Vision West is working hard to alleviate, is that of childcare. NDCompass.org tells us that over 70% of young children have parents who are all working. We compare this 70% to the nationwide 65%, and we see one reason we have a problem. While the parents are away, the children still need quality care. Watching children all day is a hard job, especially when they are not even your own children! These people who have taken on the task of keeping our children safe, while we are at work are amazing! The problem is that we do not have enough of these people, and there are no open spots at the local daycare. We have all seen the shortage of child care in our state, so quite obviously this is a large issue!
