The Vision West ND Housing Committee was created as an ad hoc committee for the purpose of working with the Vision West ND Board of Directors, consortium, and administration. The Committee will work with communities, community, and elected leaders, the state of ND, and others associated with the housing to help the Vision West ND region promote safe and affordable housing.
Scope and Key Objectives
• Partner with local real estate professionals, municipalities, and economic developers to educate home sellers about realistic market values and techniques for home improvements that make a home more marketable.
• Explore non-traditional housing solutions and prepare a plan to educate communities and their residents.
• Coordinate with housing agencies and housing programs to develop a plan to educate communities and homeowners about substandard buildings and options for redress.
• Coordinate with state housing agencies and communities with strong housing plans to develop an educational plan to help other communities with solutions for housing rehabilitation to raise houses needing rehab to marketable value.
