The Vision West ND Energy Committee was created as an ad hoc committee for the purpose of working with the Vision West ND Board of Directors, consortium, and administration. The Committee will work with subdivisions, businesses, and community organizations to help the Vision West ND region understand the electrical grid and the impacts of various energy options upon the grid. This Vision West ND Energy Committee will work in partnership with WDEA to develop the committee’s objectives.

Scope and Key Objectives

  • Examine renewable and fossil fuels and promote balanced energy sources.

  • Examine how the use of natural gas as an energy source can be expanded within the region to help small communities procure businesses that are reliant upon this energy source.

  • Explore and understand the potential for solar energy

  • Work in conjunction with WDEA to provide educational tools for the Vision West ND consortium, subdivisions, schools, communities, etc.
